Restoring existing scrubber

After a visit from the environmental inspection (East Flanders), it became clear that technical modifications had to be made to the existing scrubber.  The special conditions in the permit require a stable operation of the air scrubber, whereby downtime is reduced to a minimum. The Dutch air scrubber manufacturer was no longer willing to repair and maintain the installation.  CBgroep took over the installation and installed a reactor tank with accompanying control, measuring equipment and circulation pump, connected online to the PASmonitor server in Ostend. The existing built-in units were extended with sprayers to prevent clogging.  The circulation tubes were renewed.  The existing acid tank was modified by the operator and approved.  Through the online logging system and a six-monthly site visit, the company MIRCON will follow up the installation, maintain it, carry out sampling and prepare legal reports.  The PASmonitor also sends an online log every Monday morning via e-mail to the pig farmer for confirmation.
