Manure processing air washer Vlarem directive (Antwerp)
In order to comply with the Vlarem legislation (188.8.131.52) from 2017, an air-washing installation with access doors, ladders, fan and roof passage was installed on the existing manure processing in Meer-Hoogstraten. The unit was placed on the chassis next to the manure centrifuge via the roof. The built-in fan with frequency control sets the shed in light underpressure, both with open and closed gate. In this way the maximum ammonia emission requirement is met in manure processing (ie composting as fermentation of 10 mg/Nm³ at a mass flow of 150 g/h or converted 13ppm NH3 into the outgoing air).
Additional advantage: By placing a biological scrubber there is no longer any odour nuisance for the immediate environment, both during the separation and the opening of the gates and doors.
